As well as a number of cottages, which probably predated the works, two rows of workers houses were built on the site. All are now ruins. Garnddyrys Square sat nearest the forge and consisted of 20 houses, built on 3 sides of a rectangle. By 1870 these were partly demolished. There were also 12 houses in Garnddyrys Row. The remains of Victoria Row, which included the Queen Victoria Inn, was situated alongside the tram road to the east of the Blaenavon Road.
Public Houses:
At one time the hamlet had the Queen Victoria Inn. This was demolished in 1970. Other Public Houses situated close to Garnddyrys were the Royal Oak and Puddler's Arms. Today you can visit the Cordell Country Inn situated just slightly below Garnddyrys.
